Happy Memorial Day…..the day we cherish the memory of our heroic dead. They gave their lives for us…that we may remain a free, capitalistic, democratic society where everyone is a self reliant, self-governed, law abiding citizen. We are a free society where each of us still retains hope to be rewarded for hard work and honest labor; where good character and honor still count. We abide by the rule of law and respect for life.
The USA is the greatest nation on earth because its people are willing to pay whatever price is necessary to protect freedom for all. Our fallen Heros did not give their lives for a socialistic society. Thomas Jefferson states “A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.”
Our government does not have money…..they get it willingly from the people. Remember why our men and women died for our country and for us. Don’t be so willing to give up hard fought freedoms to let the government take care of you. As you can tell from the past, they are not particularly good at it. We all have a civic duty to give something back to our country.
Happy Memorial Day.
How do you give something back if you do not have any money? Answer: By being a civilized, self-governed, law-abiding citizen. We tell you how and the reasons why at http://www.ayearofgoodmanners.com/
Today I actually had fun washing my van. You may see me driving around town….I have http://www.janpolk.com/ signs on both doors and on both bumpers. I received an email stating all the advantages of using Bounce dryer softener sheets. One suggested use was to use the sheets to easily remove bug splats on cars. I used Snuggie sheets and they worked extremely well! First wet an area of your car, then use a dry softener sheet to remove the road grease and stubborn bug splats, and then rinse. No hard elbow work necessary. They dissolved easily. The van sparkled like crazy and I didn’t even have to dry it off. I used 6 sheets to do the whole van. Try it…you will like it.

“Teaching manners to children is the kindest thing you can do for them, and it is a long-term project. Teach by example, gently correct, encourage, quietly remind, praise when you can, and keep on doing it. Start when they are toddlers and you will have lovely teenagers.” Margery Sinclair To view other tips in our book, please visit http://www.ayearofgoodmanners.com/ and scroll to the bottom of the page.
